What is the best time of year to go on a Tanzania safari?
The best time to visit will depend on what you'd like to see on your safari trip. The weather of Tanzania can be categorized into two seasons:
Wet (October - December & April - June)
Dry (January - March & July - September)
July through September (dry season) is ideal for visitors wanting to view the great Wildebeest Migration or take a relaxing trip to the beaches of Zanzibar.
Contrary to popular belief, the wet seasons also yields stunning views and wildlife, especially for bird-watching and the dense lush vegetation.

Do I need any vaccinations or medication before going on a safari?

It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional or travel medicine specialist to determine the specific vaccinations and medications required or recommended for travel to Tanzania.
Yellow fever vaccinations are only required if you are coming from a country where the disease is prevalent.
Are there any restrictions on photography during a safari?
Photos are absolutely encouraged on your safari! In fact, all photos on this website were provided by our past clients. We just ask that you follow all safety instructions from your safari guide. For example, please refrain from using flash photography, as it can startle or disturb the animals. Additionally, respect the privacy and space of wildlife by maintaining a safe distance and refraining from any disruptive behavior that could interfere with their natural behavior.
Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?
Yes, most international travelers will need to obtain a visa to enter Tanzania, however, visas on arrival are available to most passport holders.
Visas on arrival are available at all Tanzania entry points, including airports. U.S. passport holders can expect to pay US $100 for the visa application and most other nationalities will pay US $50.
